The Chateau & The Street Market

The whole point of coming down to the south end of Taiwan was to stay a few days by the beach. To this end, Shu-Min booked as all a room at The Chateau, a very nice seaside resort. The weather is a bit blustery at the moment so we haven't been in the ocean yet, but we made good use of the heated Jacuzzi pool. After getting settled we went out to find some dinner and wound up finding a street market just a few blocks from the Chateau. We had dinner in a Thai restaurant and then walked the market for a while. Chunnan introduced me to cherry tomatoes stuffed with plum paste from a street vendor.... very yummy! We're going to do a bit of exploring tomorrow. Chunnan tells me there is a light house in the area so I'd like to see that if it's not too far away.

  2. Yup, it is really nice here at the resort. Everything is clean and tidy and restful. I could spend a few more days here lounging in the hot tub area, for sure.
